    Another update for me

I just went to see my 5th doctor today...Yesterday was terribly hard on me because I was told that I either have one of two cancers...Either Papillary or Anaplastic of the thyroid and then today they told me they will be doing a lymph node biopsy next week to find out more about these types of cancers in my body...I have 4 tumors on my heart and these test along with this biopsy will tell them what type of cnacer it is for sure...If it Papillary it's treatable so were praying it's that...If it the other the signs don't look good they say about 6 months but only the Big Man upstairs knows that...But i'm so scared I have so many test scheduled seems like everyday something new...Anyways Thanks to all whom have Prayed and continue Praying for me.

Take em one at a time and everything else will take care of itself.

    they say about 6 months

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know I've posted this before but it's worth repeating:
My friend Karen, at the age of 35, was also given the "maybe not even 6 months or even 6 weeks" prospect after being diagnosed with an extremely aggressive, supposedly untreatable cancer.

She's the one who took matters into her own hands, did her research, went to Loma Linda CA, got treatment, had a lot of people praying for her, and 3.5 years later is still living a full life.

Having seen her do this I know others, including you, can too.

    We're all with you.
    You'll shoot your eye out.

I have a similar story. A fellow church member went to Seattle for treatment, and was told there they would not have approved her to come for treatment if they had known she was that far along. That was 7 years ago, a complete recovery! Keep the faith, Tob. God be with you.

"Take em one at a time and everything will take care of itself"...Fitting, because you are going to take it one day at a time. Lean on the Lord (Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible".)Take your passion for what in life inspires you, draws your emotions, the things you love-your family, the way you feel when Friday night rolls around just a few minutes before the Big Blue rolls onto Legion, the way you feel on raceday...things you want to keep on feeling, seeing.
I have never had a friend from GC who was a quitter, and you are no different. You know that you have a slew of friends and loved ones who are there whenever, whatever. I've spent alot of the last few days thinking about you, praying, laughing about some of the crazy stuff we've all pulled at some of the football games that we've been lucky enough to catch together. I was telling elp6n while ago about how you had me laughing so hard I was near tears when we thought we saw Phil at the GC-JJK game, and you broke down and did a dang fine Phil impression that I'll treasure forever.
I have seen so many folks beat amazing medical odds. Never forget that there is a direct connection to your mental health and physical health. If you give up, you give in, but you fight, use your spirit, and say "This is the ultimate test, and I plan on hanging around a little longer"

    Re: Another update for me

Sometimes bad medical predictions, at least in my mind, are to show the doctors that they aren't in charge.

People who are perfect pictures of health die due to oddities.

People who are very sick, end up living and beating diseases that doctors said was impossible or pointless.

I was declared dead shortly after I was born. I was extremely premature. One nurse saw me move after the doctors told my parents I had died. I was told that I had diseases. My parents were told to enjoy me, I wouldn't be here in my teens. So far, I've managed to prove them wrong, and my goal is always to prove a doctor wrong. I don't do any of it by myself, because I couldn't do anything by myself. Even when I had cancer, I knew I was going to be ok and fought/pushed myself as hard as I could to stay me, stay active, not give in a minute. I was lucky and blessed to have an extremely cureable type of cancer, but I say that I'm too stubborn to give in easily to anything, even if the odds are 99-1, I think someone has to be the one, it might as well be me. You have to fight everything, if they tell you that there is a chance, decide that you are the chance. If they say this may likely happen, be the one it doesn't. What was it, during the olympics, the one who was told they wouldn't walk again most likely after an accident they had, and there they were competing. There are always plenty who roll over and play dead, but for there to be a percentage, there are some who had to do differently, be one of the differents.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
